Replyf is the Gmail AI reply extension for people replying on someone else's behalf.
Not for people replying as themselves. Not for teams collaborating on shared inboxes. Specifically for virtual assistants and executive assistants who have to sound like their client or executive with every reply, every day.
Why Replyf exists
Every generic AI email tool assumes you're typing in your own voice. That works for personal email. It falls apart the moment you're a virtual assistant managing a client's inbox, an executive assistant replying on behalf of a founder, or a freelancer covering multiple clients whose contacts already know exactly how they sound. Every draft comes back in the same generic professional voice, and you spend more time editing to match your client's tone than you would have spent writing from scratch.
Replyf was built to fix that specific problem. Learn each client's email tone from their real sent messages, read the full thread for context, draft in seconds inside Gmail. The only Gmail Chrome extension built around this workflow instead of trying to serve everyone.
About the founder, Tayyab Irshad
Replyf is built by Tayyab Irshad, a solo founder based in Pakistan. The idea for Replyf came from watching virtual assistants and executive assistants spend a large part of their day editing generic AI email drafts to match how their client or executive actually writes.
The pattern was consistent across every VA and EA interviewed: the AI produced coherent, professional English, but the tone was always the same generic business voice regardless of whose inbox the reply was coming from. Contacts who talked to the client every week would notice, and the assistant would have to edit every draft to strip out AI-typical phrasing before sending. Replyf started as a way to skip that editing step by teaching the AI the client's specific voice once, then applying it automatically to every reply.
Every design decision inside Replyf goes back to that original observation. Reads locally in the browser because storing client email content would be a trust breach. One tone profile per client because managing multiple clients is the norm, not the exception. Runs inside Gmail because tab-switching is what makes copy-paste AI workflows slow to begin with.
Built for virtual assistants and executive assistants
Replyf is built for a specific job: replying to email in someone else's voice, at Gmail speed, without the editing tax that comes with general-purpose AI writing tools. That means the primary users are:
- Virtual assistants managing multiple client inboxes remotely and needing each reply to sound like the specific client it's coming from.
- Executive assistants replying on behalf of founders, CEOs, and senior leaders whose contacts recognize their voice instantly.
- Ghostwriters and OBMs writing in a client's voice all day across email, Slack, and other channels.
- Agencieswhere account managers reply to their clients' contacts and consistent tone matters for retention.
How Replyf compares
General AI writing tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot) are built for someone typing as themselves, and default to one flat professional voice for whoever's at the keyboard. Fine for your own email, wrong tool for someone else's inbox.
Shared-inbox platforms (Front, Missive, Hiver) solve routing and assignment for support teams, not tone matching. VAs and EAs replying solo don't benefit from them the way a customer support team does.
Superhuman and other email clients focus on speed of keyboard shortcuts and inbox interface. They're priced per seat, which means supporting multiple clients gets expensive fast, and the tone matching problem isn't what they're trying to solve.
Replyf sits in a narrower lane: one Gmail Chrome extension, one tone profile per client, full thread context on every draft. That focus is intentional. The product stays scoped to the part of the job generic AI email tools consistently get wrong: sounding like the right person.
What Replyf does
- ✓Learns each client's email tone from a small sample of real sent emails. One tone profile per person you reply on behalf of.
- ✓Reads the full Gmail thread automatically, so drafts respect prior agreements and context.
- ✓Runs inside Gmail as a Chrome extension. No tab-switching, no copy-pasting, no chatbot window.
- ✓Reads locally, stores nothing. Email content is never stored on Replyf servers. Only a plain-text style summary is saved as the tone profile.
- ✓Multi-client support with one-click switching between tone profiles. Built for VAs juggling 3+ clients simultaneously.
